EMSTA, Inc. is approved to offer PHTLS classes as mandated by the NAEMT. This is a 2 day, 8 hours per day class and is intended for individuals who care for trauma patients in the prehospital arena. We teach this class to a combination of certification/license levels including: EMT-Basic; Paramedic” RN; and other EMS providers. The class consists of a combination of lecture, skill demonstrations and hands on practice/simulations with “moulaged patients.”

Skills demonstrated and practiced are:
Airway - Basic adjuncts, Needle Decompression, Oral Intubation (several techniques) and Nasal Intubation

Simulation Skill Assessments |
Upon successful completion of the course, an NAEMT PHTLS card will be issued and the student will receive 16 hours of continuing education. |
